Exploring the Impact of Integrating the Nursery Teacher Certificate on Student Teachers’ Teaching Competences in Teacher Education in Shaanxi, China

This quantitative study investigates the impact of integrating Nursery Teacher Certificate into teacher education in Chinese vocational and technical colleges, specifically focusing on perspectives student teachers majoring Early Childhood Care Education. The aims to assess influence nursery teaching competences teachers. A sample 95 respondents, enrolled Education program across five colleges Shaanxi, China, participated study. findings reveal that has a positive teachers’ knowledge, skills, attitudes, enhancing their practical competence. However, certificate neglects cultivation classroom management skills education, highlighting need for more comprehensive approach address this gap. These have implications revision curricula incorporate explicit training emphasize importance nurturing well-rounded competences. By addressing discrepancy, programs can better prepare future educators challenges they may face careers.
